Nintendo has officially unveiled its next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2. Priced at $449, it is set to launch on June 5, 2025, in Japan and North America.

The total weight of the Switch 2 (including Joy-Con2) matches exactly with the current Switch1 model (including Joy-Con). However, it is both taller and longer compared to all existing models that have Joy-Cons attached.

The adoption of Hall effect joysticks has not yet been officially confirmed. This technology could potentially solve the joystick drift problem that many Switch users have experienced.
