Nintendo kicked off their live stream as planned, aiming to maintain the buzz around the Switch 2. However, the previously revealed pricing strategy has left many players highly displeased. This dissatisfaction is particularly pronounced among international players due to various well-known reasons. As soon as the live stream began, it was inundated with comments from foreign viewers demanding, "DROP THE PRICE!"

Due to recent changes in tariff policies and fluctuations in the yen exchange rate, the overseas version of "Mario Kart: World" is priced at $79.99, which is noticeably higher than the $59.99 to $69.99 launch price of its predecessor on previous consoles. Notably, Japanese players are benefiting from lower prices compared to their counterparts in Europe and America.
Nintendo has yet to comment on the situation, but it doesn't rule out the chance of a compromise in the future as global policies evolve.
