The fantasy role-playing game "Avowed," created by Obsidian Entertainment, has garnered widespread praise since its launch in February. The game's narrative unfolds in the world of Eora, which is also the setting for the "Pillars of Eternity" series.

Previously, the official team was focused on localizing the game into Japanese. Recently, Obsidian Entertainment issued an official statement providing an update on the latest progress in this endeavor.
The announcement indicated that because the translation work has not progressed as scheduled, the Japanese version is now anticipated to be released in August 2025.

Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment, issued an apology to fans awaiting the Japanese version of their game. He explained that despite the game's release in February, the Japanese localization was delayed and expressed his sincere regrets for the inconvenience.
One of the standout features of "Avowed" is its exceptional dialogue, captivating storyline, and interactive elements based on player choices and consequences. As such, this delay aims to ensure a top-notch Japanese localization, enabling Japanese players to fully enjoy the game's appeal. Players have high expectations for the final Japanese version as well.
