On April 11, the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced that it will release a commemorative coin honoring "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok, the star player of the globally renowned e-sports team SKT CS T1. This limited-edition coin is being issued to celebrate Faker's birthday on May 7.

Since making his debut as a professional League of Legends player in 2013, "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok has consistently showcased exceptional competitive prowess, earning him the reputation as the greatest esports player of all time. The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation plans to use its specialized technology to create commemorative coins featuring "Faker"'s likeness and celebrating his remarkable accomplishments.
The front of the “Faker” commemorative coin will feature an image of “Faker” seated on a throne, while the back will artistically display his handwritten “GOAT” signature along with a crown symbolizing his international championship glory.
Two types of commemorative coins will be issued: a gold coin (999 gold, weighing 15.55 grams, diameter 32 mm, round, proof quality) limited to 507 pieces, and a silver coin (999 silver, weighing 31.1 grams, diameter 40 mm, round, proof quality) limited to 2000 pieces, making them highly collectible.
In collaboration with SKT CS T1, KOMSCO will release these commemorative coins to celebrate “Faker’s” birthday. Sales will begin at 10:00 AM (Korean time) on May 7th through KOMSCO’s official website, the T1 Basecamp, Hmall, and The Hyundai.com.
