There are indications that NVIDIA might be moving to reduce the prices of its RTX 50 series graphics cards, especially in the Japanese and UK markets. While the price cuts are not substantial, this is certainly a positive sign for consumers who have long struggled with expensive graphics cards.

According to reports, a Japanese retailer is selling the NVIDIA RTX 5070 for approximately $20 less than the local suggested retail price. Meanwhile, in the UK, NVIDIA has provided a discount of around 4% on this graphics card, lowering the price from £539 to £519.
Although this isn’t a major price cut, it’s still good news for gamers who are hoping for graphics card prices to normalize. In recent times, the high demand from both gamers and speculators has caused the prices of several NVIDIA graphics cards to soar well above the official suggested retail price.

For instance, the price of the RTX 5090 skyrocketed to over $3000, and the RTX 5070 Ti, which was initially priced around $750, was marked up to more than $1200 by certain retailers.
These price adjustments do not necessarily indicate that NVIDIA will implement large-scale price reductions in the future. However, they do show that NVIDIA and its partners are starting to recognize the need to address the tight conditions in the graphics card market. Additionally, with competitors like AMD introducing successful products such as the RX 9070 XT, NVIDIA is facing increased competitive pressure, which could be a factor driving them to consider lowering prices.
